Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Whisk dry ingredients separately, then gradually mix into wet ingredients.

  6. Drop by tablespoons onto baking sheets.
