- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 8 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped (for mixing into dough)
- 20–24 whole Oreo cookies (for stuffing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and crushed Oreo pieces.
- Scoop dough, place a whole Oreo in center, cover with more dough and seal edges.
- Bake 11-13 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
