- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4–5 candy bars, chopped (e.g., Snickers, Twix, M&M’s, Reese’s)
Instructions
- Make the Dough:
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy (3–4 minutes).
- Mix in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped candy pieces.
- Chill the Dough:
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to enhance texture and prevent spreading.
- Bake the Cookies:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized portions, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 11–13 minutes until edges turn golden.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
